Founded as Vercoa Air Service in 1956.  Name changed to Britt Airline in 1976. In 1986, the airline was sold to Peoples Express. Texas Air Corporation acquired People Express and was absorbed by Texas Air Corp/Continental Express. Britt Airlines merged with Rocky Mountain Airways in 1990 and the airline's name changed to Jet Link the same year.
