for 20 years of service, a star for over 10 years of service and no
star for up to 10 years of service. Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN 1952-1979
Started as Wisconsin Central Airlines and name changed to North Central Airlines upon relocation to Minneapolis-St. Paul from Madison, WI in 1952. In 1979, the company merged with Southern Airways and name changed to Republic Airlines. Republic merged with Hughes Air West in 1968 and that combined airline was purchased by Northwest Airlines in 1986.
