RCA, formerly an acronym for the Radio Corporation of America, is now a trademark owned by Thomson SA through RCA Trademark Management S.A. RCA was formed in 1919 by General Electric. GE sold the rights to make RCA and GE brand consumer electronics products, notably television sets, to the French Thomson Group.
