This wing has no diamonds and is 65mm vs 85 mm for the jacket badge. The wing is worn by all pilot regardless of seniority. This issue has a dull finish vs. a high gloss finish for the 4th Issue.

Airline began as holding company called United Aircraft and Transport Company for these airlines: Boeing Air Transport, Varney Air Lines, Pacific Air Transport and National Air Transport. Name changed to United Air Lines in 1931. Merged with Capital Airlines in 1961.
